At the beginning of creation in Genesis 1: 1- 3, we see a chaotic situation. There it is written, “In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth. And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters. And God said, Let there be light: and there was light. And God saw the light, that it was good: …”

From the above scriptures we see God’s ability to make things beautiful under focus. We see God facing a challenge. His desire was to have a wonderful creation, to see good, but, formlessness, void and darkness was on the earth due to Lucifer’s rebellion. God did not give up. The next thing He did was to speak the word in the direction of His expectation and He began to get the results which He saw as ‘good’. That word which God spoke, which brought about the good is none but Jesus.

That is why John writes in the first to third verses of the first chapter of his gospel, “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God. All things were made by him; and without him was not anything made that was made”. Much more than that, John tells us that the word which was there, active at creation incarnated. That word became a man. He says in the fourteenth verse of the same chapter, “… the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth”. In other words, the Word became real and physical. That Word became the person of Jesus.

A word, is that which proceeds from the deepest recesses of a man’s being. It is an expression of His true intention. A word carries the power to make thoughts of a man’s heart physical.

Jesus is God’s word personified. He is the tangible manifestation of God’s thoughts, good thoughts, for you and I which is intended to give us hope and bring us to a desirable end. Jesus is the reality of God’s love for mankind, the only way by which we must be saved, healed, delivered from the darkness of Satan and this world and ultimately be reconciled and glorified into the image of God Himself as it was in the beginning. Without Jesus man is doomed to perish and end in eternal damnation. Hebrews 4:12 tells us that “the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any two edged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart”.

Psalm 107:20 tells us that “He (God) sent his word, and healed them, and delivered them from their destructions”. God has already sent His word. Jesus has come. You need to believe in Him. You need to know that all you need is God’s word. All you need is actually Jesus.

That name in your mouth by faith will save you. Acts 2:21 says “And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved”.

Speaking in the power of that name, Jesus will cause things that are not, to become for you. Throughout the creation exercise, we read ‘and God said’ over and over again. In other words, creation would have been impossible if God did not release the Word. As you speak your desires by faith in the name of Jesus you are releasing the power of God’s word over your situation and things cannot but respond.

The name of Jesus in your mouth activates your ability and capacity to access and receive the things that are freely given to you by God. Isaiah 34:16 says, “…for my mouth it hath commanded, and his spirit it hath gathered them.” When you speak in the name of Jesus, you activate the power of the Holy Spirit to make things happen. In other words, the Holy Spirit moves at the instance of the word of God and that word is a name and that name is the name of Jesus. Acts 4: 12 says, “Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.”

The opening up of your heart to receive and make your heart a dwelling place for Jesus, the word of God qualifies you for eternal glory. When the word of God, being Jesus lives in your heart by faith it qualifies you for the glorious life. Colossians 1:27 says “.. Christ in you, the hope of glory”. Matthew 12:34 says, “for out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaketh.” Making your heart a dwelling place for Jesus fills your heart with the word and when you speak, you speak Jesus compliant words. The word in your heart begins to direct your life and lead you into all that is good and perfect in the sight of God.

Do not live without Jesus. He has been given freely for our salvation, our healing, our deliverance, our peace and prosperity. Embrace Him. Accept Him. Confess Him as your Lord and savior and begin to chart a new course for your life.

I speak now over your life that in the name of Jesus, the Word of God, be healed, delivered and set free. Amen. I command that you prosper in Jesus name. I command that the eyes of your inner man be opened to see the revelation of Jesus Christ, the eternal word of God.
