It is already no news to every Freedomite that this year is a year of WORK and GREATER WORKS. The assurance Jesus has given us this year is that as believers, we will not only be like Him in works, but even outperform Him (John 14: 12). As much as that sounds unbelievable, we discover that it was made real in the lives of the Apostles. One striking example is the fact that Jesus’ shadow never healed anyone but Peter’s shadow did (Acts 5: 15). If Jesus says we can, then we can. You must begin to act immediately.

If you are a Fisher man, get ready to fish out men for God. If you are a mechanic, get ready for God to use you to repair men this year. If you are a tailor, get ready for God to use you shapen and to put broken and torn lives together again. If you are a doctor, get ready for the Lord to use you to bring healing to men. If you are an accountant, get ready for God to use you to bring godly balance into the lives of men. We can go on and on.

One way to work the works of God as we have received the marching order this year, is to become a bringer of ten. God is expecting you and I to become responsible for bringing ten people, at least to Him and into this church, this year. One question you need to ask yourself is whether you are ready and willing to do this for the Lord. I know it is not by might nor by power but by the spirit of the Lord, yet your willing effort is required if the Holy Spirit will be able to work the works of God through you this year.

You must realise that you are not bringing men to the Bishop. You are not bringing men to the pastors. You are not bringing more people so that the offerings and tithes can increase. You are bringing men so they can be saved. You are bringing men to depopulate hell and populate heaven. You are bringing men to give them the opportunity to be exposed to the word of God, the word of truth which is capable of making them free. If you really believe that you are being blessed under this commission, then you must be willing to have others have a taste of it too. If this commission and this family of God has become your own family, then you must give others the opportunity to also make the wise decision that you have made.

Prophet Zechariah, speaking by the Holy Spirit of God declares, “Thus saith the LORD of hosts; In those days it shall come to pass, that ten men shall take hold out of all languages of the nations, even shall take hold of the skirt of him that is a Jew, saying, We will go with you: for we have heard that God is with you”.

The scripture above paints a very dramatic picture. It shows that the visible life of the Jew is so blessed that even without his asking, men want to associate with him because of what they are seeing.

The power in this scripture is that if you will be willing to be used by God this year, it will not be stressful for you to bring men to God. God will make it easy for you to become a bringer of men. God will turn you into a sign and a wonder, an attraction that cannot be ignored. As it is painted in that scripture, men will literally beg you to connect them to God. Your life will become so outstanding that men will refer other men to come to you. Does that sound good? I believe it does. It sounds good to me and I crave it already.

This is the era of the bringers of men to God. We must become missionary minded. We must become compassionate and kind to the people among which we live and work. We cannot keep this good news to ourselves. We cannot be so greedy that we want to make heaven alone. Jesus died for the world not just for you alone. You must be ready to share Him with others if not, you are surely not a true believer.

It was John the Baptist, who at the risk of becoming obsolete in ministry told his disciples in John 1: 36, “Behold the Lamb of God!” and at that moment, two of his disciples, including Andrew followed Jesus and once he had encountered Jesus, it is written in John 1: 41- 42, “He first findeth his own brother Simon, and saith unto him, We have found the Messias, which is, being interpreted, the Christ. And he brought him to Jesus…” The next day, Jesus found and called on Phillip to follow Him and he did.

I pray this year that as you will willingly avail yourself, everyone you call to follow you to church will follow you with ease in Jesus name. As it worked for Jesus, it will also work for each of us this year in Jesus name. The next thing was that Phillip found his own friend Nathanael and even though he tried to argue, he was able to bring him to Jesus.

We must bring our family members and relatives to church with us. We must bring our neighbours and friends. We must bring our work colleagues. We must reach out to young people on the football field and viewing centres. We must reach out to young ladies in hair dressing salons. We must reach out to men and women. We must be ready if need be to persuade them to COME AND SEE AND HEAR. Let them know how they must not miss out. Tell them about the power of God. Tell them about the word that is taught and preached in your church. Tell them about your pastor and brethren. Tell them about your church and give reasons why they should come.

The devil is using men to recruit men into adultery and drunkenness. He is using home videos, men and women to lure men and women into adultery, fornication and the likes. He is busy using his agents to recruit our youths into thuggery and so on. We must get ahead of the devil. God is counting on you and I to be bringers of men to him this year. We must take this work seriously.

The only thing that truly gladdens the heart of God and the angelic hosts of heaven is the souls we bring to God. As you inject joy and celebration into heaven this year by bringing men, God will also turn your life into a never ending story of celebration and victory this year in Jesus name. Amen.
