Welcome to 2018, your year of SPLENDOUR. Splendour is God’s plan for you. 1 Corinthians 2: 9- 10 says, “But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him. But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God.” You see, the revelation of God to His servant the Presiding Bishop of this commission, concerning His provision for us, which no eye has not seen nor ear has heard nor perceived by the hearts of men is that He will make us to experience Splendour.
So what is splendor? The word connotes, excelling glory. The word speaks of magnificence, brilliance, impressiveness, finery, grandeur, majesty, splendidness. Splendour speaks of another level or higher glory. Whichever one of these words is at home with you, you can now be sure of the least of what God is talking about.
Our lead scripture for the year, Haggai 2: 9 says, “The glory of this latter house shall be greater than of the former, saith the LORD of hosts: and in this place will I give peace, saith the LORD of hosts.”
God is aware of what you have been going through. God is also aware of all your fears for the future and so, in His characteristic nature, He has sent His word to heal and deliver you and realign your experiences to His will for you in this year.
Before verse 9, God began to declare that He would for your sake and mine, shake the heavens and the earth, the sea and dry land and even the nations so that they would all bring their precious things unto His house. God’s house is not just the four walls of the church. It is your body and mine. I am the temple of the Holy Spirit. This is the year of supernatural wealth transfer from heaven to you and I, from the earth and sea and dry land to you and I and from the nations to you and I so that we, having all things in abundance will abound unto all good works; works that God has ordained that we do since the foundations of this world, (Haggai 2: 6-8, 2Co 9:8, Ephesians 2: 10). Halleluiah.
To enter into the fullness of this prophetic word, It is your duty this year to:
Believe His word: You need to know that Annual Prophetic declarations are not ‘make me feel good’ declarations. Our Pastor Ameh Aruwa told us, ‘if all you see in the prophetic declaration is excitement, your reward will also be excitement,’ and if I may add, it will be excitement without tangible results leading to utmost frustration. That will not be your portion in Jesus name. No! Prophetic declarations are more than exciting, ‘make me feel good’ words. They are the expressions from the heart of God for His people, a specific people- in this case, SPLENDOUR is for FREEDOMITES. Believing it is your first step to seeing the word become flesh in your own life. Whether you like it or not, it is already working for others who dared to believe it and for your information, it is beyond coincidence. Isaiah 7: 9 says, “…If ye will not believe, surely ye shall not be established.” The performance of this SPLENDOUR in your life is hinged on your believing, therefore, BELIEVE!
Speak this word: Yes! This is God’s word to you but until you take it as your own word to yourself, you will end this year without its attendant results. Several years ago, I told myself concerning a word of prophecy from God’s servant, the Bishop, “this word of prophecy will not fail over my life.” Every time my feelings and financial situation said a different thing or pointed my eyes at the present situation, suggesting that the word of God would not come to pass in my life, I declared the word to myself and followed it up by declaring that the word would not fail in my life. In time, that word of prophecy found expression in my life and till this day, my life has become better for it. You need to express your faith by speaking the word of God to yourself. You need to superimpose the Word of God on yourself and your particular situation (s). Give the word preeminence and declare it against all odds in faith. If you mistakenly say the opposite of God’s word, correct yourself and re-declare the word of God a hundred times above your mistake.
Act on divine instructions by faith: For this word to become flesh, or made manifest in your life, you need to be attentive daily to God, via the inner witness of the Spirit of God in you or even through direct instructions given from the altar when the servant of God is teaching or preaching the word of God. Some of these instructions will not be easy to obey, given your circumstances, but your determination to get the crown of splendour must be so intense that you would go all out to do what God instructs for it is written “… Behold, to obey is better than sacrifice, and to hearken than the fat of rams.” 1Sa 15:22. You have to obey to give. You have to obey to work. You have to obey to evangelize. You have to obey to visit. You have to obey to invite. You just have to obey and obey in FAITH!
There is a testimony for you to step into everyday of this year. God has His eyes on you to do you good this year. You will experience the greater works of God in your life this year. The word has already gone ahead of you and as you walk in the strength of this word, signs and wonders will follow you in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.
